Preliminary planning only — ASM engineering confirmation required.

Inside the toolkit
10–200 m³/day reference
BIOASM model range
U.S. residential flow basis
PT-series units are single-module SBR reactors. For residential projects, establish design flow in U.S. gallons per day using the number of homes or bedrooms and the corresponding flow allowance confirmed by the project engineer. ASM confirms final equipment selection and the complete treatment scope.
Written for project teams
What’s Included
Move from early project questions to a more organized feasibility discussion with technical guidance, preliminary sizing tools, and a site-readiness checklist developed around modular wastewater projects.
PDF Guide · 47 pages
A 47-page technical reference covering SBR and MBR treatment, residential design inputs, installation, operations and the information ASM needs to review your project.
Excel Tool
Screen a preliminary SBR model using documented project GPD, or homes or bedrooms multiplied by a project-confirmed flow allowance. No default residential allowance, equipment pricing or lifecycle-cost estimate is included.
Excel Checklist · 49 items
Organize 49 project and site checks, record unresolved items and prepare the information needed for an ASM engineering review.
Preliminary planning only—ASM engineering confirmation required. The toolkit does not constitute a final design, equipment selection, performance guarantee, quotation or regulatory approval. ASM and the project engineer must confirm project flow, loading, treatment requirements and equipment scope.
What you will learn

When modular treatment is a viable alternative to conventional construction.
How SBR and MBR approaches differ, and when project-specific engineering is required.
How to estimate preliminary design flow and identify an initial BIOASM model range.
What site, electrical, civil, permitting, operational, and discharge questions must be resolved.
Process
ASM’s standard reference cycle lasts six hours, with four cycles per day. Final operating settings require project-specific confirmation.
1 hour
The feed pump and blower operate together.
3 hours
Feeding stops while the blower continues. Total aeration is four hours, including Phase 1.
1 hour
Pumps and blower stop while solids settle.
1 hour
The treated-water discharge pump and chlorine dosing pump operate together.
The packaged system

BIOASM PT-1000 SBR package: upper reference hydraulic capacity of approximately 52,834 GPD (200 m³/day). Primary settling, equalization, downstream treatment and site integration are defined for each project. Final selection requires ASM engineering confirmation.

Packaged treatment installation supplied by ASM. Site planning should account for the prepared foundation, incoming wastewater connections, power supply, and treated-water discharge route. Access for installation, inspection, and routine maintenance should be reviewed alongside the treatment layout. Final equipment scope and site integration require ASM engineering confirmation.

Factory-built package units sited near the load they serve. Project planning should establish the wastewater flow and characteristics, available footprint, and connections to the collection and discharge systems. Equipment access, electrical requirements, and operating arrangements also need review. Model selection and any supporting treatment stages are confirmed for each project by ASM.

Packaged units for sites where cast-in-place construction is impractical. Early feasibility review should consider delivery access, foundation requirements, available utilities, and the proposed discharge location. The site checklist helps capture these conditions and identify questions for the project team. Treatment configuration and installation requirements remain subject to project-specific engineering review.

Packaged treatment installation supplied by ASM. Each project needs a defined flow basis, an assessment of wastewater characteristics, and a review of local permitting and discharge requirements. Civil works, utility connections, and ongoing operating responsibilities should be established before final selection. Use the toolkit to organize preliminary inputs for an ASM technical review.

Standard controls: analog time-clock manual/automatic operation with illuminated fault indicators. PLC, SCADA and added instrumentation are optional and quoted separately.

Applications
Decentralized communities without access to municipal collection.
Seasonal and variable-load hospitality and campground projects.
Remote facilities requiring rapid deployment and relocation.
Interim or staged expansion of existing municipal treatment capacity.
Selected industrial streams requiring project-specific evaluation.
Locations where conventional plant construction is impractical.
How to use the toolkit
In the calculator, choose Project GPD and enter your documented design flow, or choose Residential calculation and enter homes or bedrooms with the matching allowance confirmed by your project engineer.
Complete the checklist and identify items that still need confirmation, including wastewater characteristics, effluent requirements, utilities, access and permitting.
Send ASM your completed calculator, checklist and available project information. ASM reviews the treatment approach, equipment scope and remaining requirements before preparing a project-specific quotation.
